The reviews out there were a little vague about whether this would work, but after trying the Voyager Pro+ with my computer (and failing), I sent it back and picked up the Voyager Pro UC. The call quality is great, I work in a very hectic office and no one can hear my crazy coworkers, even when we are all on the phone at the same time (we have a small office). So far no complaints about noise in the car. Overall I don't even think about call quality, which means its doing its job. I'm most impressed with how seamless it integrates with Windows. There is a setting in the software that permanently connects the headset to windows, so it works very well with any software application. I never got the software to do much of anything and it appears to be old software at that. The instructions actually refer to a software version that is no longer offered.The bluetooth receiver dongle is useful if your computer doesn't already have Bluetooth. But it's bulky and expensive. If you find the software useless as I did, the dongle price is basically $60 ($130 less $70 for Voyager Pro standalone). You're probably better off picking up a $10-$20 dongle by itself and pairing with the standalone Voyager Pro. It does have a call connect/disconnect button but a quick mouse click does the same and you don't have to search for the small button. The headset itself is reviewed thoroughly on Amazon. Surprise! It doesn't work. They don't tell you that the feature is only available on the V2. They describe the feature, so you think that is what you are buying, but what you actually get is the V1. |
