Product Description

Wireless Headset HS820 Fashionable headset provides affordable wireless convenience; lengthy talk times complement long hands-free conversations.

Amazon.com Product Description

If you have a Bluetooth phone, it's time to make the most of it with the Motorola HS820 headset. Comfortable, stylish, and intelligently designed, the HS820 frees you up to multitask and talk whenever, and wherever you please.

Simply turn on the headset to establish a reliable wireless connection to a compatible phone up to 32.8 feet away. The headset's Bluetooth 1.2 compatibility means that you'll enjoy faster connections, better audio quality, adaptive frequency hopping and improved interference rejection (don't worry, it's also compatible with the older Bluetooth 1.1 specification). With up to six hours of talk time, you can converse to your heart's content before you'll need to charge the HS820's internal battery. The headset also has up to 100 hours of standby time, so you're always ready to receive a handsfree call.

No matter how fancy or powerful a headset may be, it's not all that useful if it isn't comfortable. Fortunately, the HS820 has comfort covered. The earhook is designed to work on your left or right ear, while an intuitive function menu and comfortable buttons make everyday use a breeze. There's also an LED light indicator that shows the status of the headset, including notification of pairing mode, pairing successful, power state, charge state and call state. Call management features --such as voice dialing, last number dial, conference calling and hold-- are available right from the headset, so you can leave your phone in your pocket, in your briefcase, or across the room. All of this is rolled up into a package that weighs less than .8 ounces.

Compatibility: Motorola A630, RAZR V3, V505, V551, V600 and V710 Phones, and all other Bluetooth 1.1 or 1.2 compliant devices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definately Worth the Money, December 25, 2005

Detailed Description:

For only $40 this headset is a best buy. I have no problems with the sound quality, volume, or people hearing me on the other end. It actual provides better sound clarity both ways then my cellphones built in speaker and mic. Set-up is no problem at all, and so far the battery hasn't run out on me (I charge it every night along with my cell). I heard a lot of people complain about the 850's volume output, but I dont have any problem with the 820. I use it with my Nokia 3650, and the ability to walk away from my cell phone is a huge advantage, considering I don't get cellular reception everywhere in my apartment. Now I can leave my phone in an area with good reception, and walk around the apartment with my bluetooth headset. Don't believe the "32.8 feet" range on the product description, that value is based on the bluetooth specification, which is really a maximum range assuming you have absolutely no interference at all (no walls or other wireless... 5.0 out of 5 stars Best headset I have ever used, March 20, 2005
This review is from: Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset - Hematite Gray (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I absolutely love this earpiece! In the past, when I have used headsets, I often have complaints that I cannot be heard. With this one, no one even realizes I am using the headset. When I am on a driving trip, I can just leave it on my ear and when someone calls, I can just touch the button to answer. No hunting the phone from under the water bottles and McDonald's bag:) I just leave the phone in my purse. I also can push the button and use the voice dial from my phone. I have found that I am able to get a pretty good distance from my cell phone without loss of quality. However, I generally just stick the phone in my pocket. I am 100% satisfied with this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars like it a lot!!, December 23, 2005

I have been using this with RAZR V3 for 2 months now. I had a couple issues but I learnt to resolve them over time.

1)Low speaker volume - set the headset volume to max AND phone volume to max.

2)Single button - wish they had separate buttons, atleast for on/off because it gets confusing as the same button is for ON/OFF, sets up bluetooth connection, connects calls, redials. The function depends on how long you have the button pressed. It Took me a while to get used to that!!! (took away 1 star)

Pros:

Clarity ++

battery life ++

compatibility with Motorola RAZR V3 ++

connection quality

looks

fit to ear

Cons:

single button usage.

overall... am satisfied!!
