Product Description
The YX050-PCS-CEL antenna provides enhanced signal strength in all directions (omni-directional) from this ceiling mount antenna. The antenna should be located near the center of the area where improved signal strength is desired. The antenna may be connected directly to the Base Unit or located near the Base unit using the supplied 10’ RG-8x extension coax.
The use of radio distribution equipment that enhances, extends or amplifies a wireless signal may be prohibited without the consent of the wireless carrier upon whose network such equipment will be used. You should consult with your carrier before purchasing such equipment to use with that carrier’s service.

We found this antenna to boost our internal signal by about 1 bar on the phone plus extended the range another 20 feet in a large meeting room. This antenna however did not assist much in boosting the signal to travel through walls. It turns out that the best and easiest place to mount an antenna was in the middle of the ceiling. This antenna works much better than the omni-directional whip antenna that came with the unit. So I'm very happy with the performance of the unit.What I HATE about the unit is that the coax cable that connects to the base unit is only about 8-inches long. It's so short in fact that it doesn't even make it through to the next floor above it. Seriously... how difficult and how much would it cost to make the connecting cable 24-inches long instead of only 8-inches. At least with a 24" connecting cable you would have a chance to connect it to something. The ridiculously short 8" cable doesn't even make it through the ceiling far enough to reach the next floor. The worst thing about the ridiculously short cable is that you won't be able to find a TNC-TNC extender cable anywhere locally. So be prepared to find and... Read more |
