The Cellphone-Mate SureCallTM CM2000-WL Mobile Amplifier is a high-performance DC or AC powered amplifier that powerfully boosts both the incoming and outgoing signals of most cell phones by up to 10,000 times. Everyone around me has DSL, but the phone company hasn't extended their coverage. I tried satellite internet and it was a little faster than dial up but not much better until after 2 AM so I dumped satellite and got ATT wireless card. It worked a little better when it went 3G but not great usually download around 30 kbps but sometimes it went down to 3 or 4 kbps. After about a year I decided to try an amplifier. After buying the Cellphone Mate and installing it (mounted on outside of window where I get 1-2 bars 3G)I now am able to download at around 800 Kbps with 3-4 bars 3G. Sometimes the signal goes down but I think it has to do with the cell towers in this area because it goes back up a few minutes later. It has been working great and I am now able to remote into work without a lot of lag time and makes internet surfing easier. I also can lay my phone next to the inside antenna to increase its signal while surfing. I have only... Internet access was barely by one bar reception signal, many times fading while connected. So download and sending bigger files was a real problem and a pain. Than I saw this new product and ordered it as other cell phone boosters were much more expensive - but also provide larger coverage inside building as well to be fair. But I did want to keep electro smog as small as possible too and was pleasantly surprised by the low price tag at Amazon's partner Armas solution. The new toy came and I tried it out,simple, just plug in and place antennas. I even placed the outside antenna inside the double paned glass door - against manual instruction. Wow, my cell phone had all bars, instead of two and Internet access with Verizon modem was MUCH faster and more reliable.
