Battery is a Knock-OffBy FlatlanderVT
This battery purports to be an authentic BlackBerry battery. It even has the trademark labeling on the battery itself. However, the battery is not an OEM battery from BlackBerry. When the battery comes, it will not work in your smartphone. You must trick the battery into thinking it is an official battery by stealing the unlock code from the original phone battery using a decoding device that is packaged with this battery. I returned this battery as I cannot be certain that it will work correctly with my smartphone or that it will not cause problems with the operation of my smartphone. I would have more trust in an after-market battery that was honest and that didn't try to trick the consumer by using a cheaply printed knock-off label to look like it was an original battery. I will attempt to find an original BlackBerry manufactured by BlackBerry. I returned this battery to Amazon.

PHONEY!!! NOT ORIGINAL BLACKBERRY BATTERY AS ADVERTISED!By mom2karrottopz
BEWARE! This battery is NOT an original Blackberry battery! It comes with a phoney Blackberry label that even has the Blackberry trademark symbol on it, but it is NOT. You have to connect the battery to your original Blackberry battery using a connector that "steals" the code from your original battery before you place it in your phone EVERY TIME! Any time you take the battery out of your phone or if, for any reason, you have to reboot your phone while using this battery, you have to re-connect it with the connector. I will be returning this battery as it is VERY FRUSTRATING to have to do this constantly and I do not trust this battery to work properly with my phone and not cause any damage to my phone.

A bit deceptiveBy ralindy
This product comes with a mating connector where you have to transfer a code from your old battery (the original) to the new battery. And, it looks like if you let the new battery completely discharge, then the code is lost forever and the battery becomes unusable. When I took my phone into an AT&T store they had never heard of this way of doing things. You can't just pop the new battery in.
Be sure to keep your original OEM battery because if you don't there will be no way to encode your new battery and you can't program one of these after-market batteries from another one of these after-market batteries.
