I purchased this holster for my new HTC Incredible as holster options are few and far between for this new model phone. The part that fits to my belt is really good, the outer case that fits the phone is ok but there is very poor retention of the phone in the holster. The innovative retention mechanism is the lip of the holster is suppose to keep the phone from sliding out. However, if you use this in a horizontal position, I feel quite comfortable that you will loose your phone. It slides out with hardly any resistance. For me, having the phone vertical is not comfortable due to the length of the phone but fortunately it does rotate at degreed increments and seems to hold that position fairly well. Even with the holster canted at a 45ยบ angle, the phone has the potential to come out of the holster if I run or jump...not a good thing. I don't feel the item is defective in any way but just lacking in some design details. The materials and overall appearance of the item are quite acceptable but it's unfortunate that they didn't make provisions for a retention strap or something better to secure the phone.
I will try to make some modifications and live with it until something better comes along but just wanted potential buyers to be aware of the loose fit and potential loss of your phone.

I have found that I can improve the retention qualities of this holster by applying some tape to the inside of the two opposing guide lugs. This helps considerably. It's a shame that this issue wasn't addressed during the initial design phase of this product.

I bought this the same day I got my phone, which happened to be the day the Incredible was released. I knew I wanted some sort of case, and there weren't many options at the time.
So the 2nd day I had my phone, I was riding my bicycle. I had the phone in the breast pocket of my riding jacket, stopped to take a picture then forgot to zip the pocket closed. A few minutes later, while descending a hill at 30+ miles per hour, my phone fell out! It skidded >50' down the street on its back. I was expecting the worst but when I stopped my bike and ran back to the phone, it was unharmed! Without this case, the camera lens, at the very least, would have been destroyed. So this case is my best investment in a long while...
As the previous reviewers have noted, the phone in it's case doesn't fit very tightly in the holster, when on my belt I keep it tilted out to prevent in falling out. But that's the only real shortcoming as I see it. It has a nice feel, and I like the looks

Avoid unless you have insuranceBy Tony
Tested this out in the store.
Went through a couple of them. just point the holster down and the phone slides right out.
Case itself is nice, but I opted for the Black High Gloss Silicone case instead.
