Circular, Open-Air Design

The Maverick Nica Sunrise has a compact, round, open-air design that allows for comfortable extended wear. With no uncomfortable in-ear insert or cumbersome boom mic, the ergonomically designed headset sits snuggly, securely, and unobtrusively against your outer ear. It comes with cushioned right and left ear loops--just slip the loop over your ear, and the headset settles gently into place.

The compact headset measures 1-4/10 inches in diameter and 1/2-inch deep--thin enough that it won't interfere with your glasses. And it weighs a mere 1/2 ounce. A dedicated sliding power switch makes it easy to tell when the headset is on or off. The main call button is also easy to locate.

13-Millimeter Speaker Provides Clear Audio

The Nica Sunrise features a 13-millimeter speaker--larger than those on most traditional headsets--that provides clear and full audio. -12dB of digital noise-suppression technology cancels out background noise, enhancing your ability to hear and be heard, even when talking outdoors or in noisy environments.

Connect Up to Two Phones

Multi-point technology lets you connect up to two mobile phones to the Nica Sunrise at the same time. You can switch from one phone to the other without having to disconnect and reconnect--a convenient feature if you use separate mobile phones for work and personal use.

Compatible with Any Bluetooth-Enabled Phone

The Nica Sunrise works with any Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone, including iPhone and Android models. It supports Bluetooth version 2.1 plus EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), as well as earlier versions.

Includes Magnetic Mini Charger

The Nica Sunrise also features an innovative magnetic mini charger for easy recharging and convenient headset access. Since the headset attaches magnetically to the charger, there isn't a cable plugged into the headset, making charging and removal quick and easy. And the headset remains on and connected while charging--no need to power it down--so you're always ready to take and make calls.

Fully charged in about one hour, the Nica Sunrise allows you to talk for more than four hours between charges. Once fully charged, the headset can sit unused and hold its charge for up to 150 hours.

The headset has an operating range up to 30 feet. It is also available in metallic red.

Optional Car Dock Charger

Maverick also offers the Nica Car Dock Charger (sold separately) for convenient charging on the go. Compatible with any Nica Sunrise Bluetooth headset, the innovative cable-less Car Dock attaches to the headset magnetically and triggers a hands-free reconnection between your docked headset and mobile phone the moment you get into your car. While your headset charges, you can stay connected and take and make calls.

The 12-volt car dock plugs into any standard car DC outlet or lighter socket and features a built-in auxiliary jack that lets you simultaneously charge your headset and mobile phone.

The Desk Dock keeps your headset on and connected to your phone while charging, so you'll never miss a call.

The Desk Dock is weighted to stabilize the unit when docking and undocking the headset. It is powered by an included AC adapter.

The Maverick Nica Sunrise Bluetooth Headset is backed by a limited one-year warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sunrise User Review, November 24, 2010
This review is from: Maverick Nica Sunrise v2 Bluetooth Headset - Gloss Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
If you're a lover of the high tech communication devices out there, you might have seen the Nica Maverick Bluetooth headset since it was released a little over a year ago. Some of you might have ponyed up to the relatively high price tag to get what is an extremely small, yet stylish, Bluetooth earpiece headset. The original Maverick was groundbreaking in its own right but the folks at Maverick went way beyond those outer boundries they already breached by releasing the new Maverick Sunrise!

The original Nica was nice but had some issues. The construction seemed a little cheap and the switches and buttons didn't seem to be up to the task for long term use. The on/off button was the first whose operation became a little suspect. The new Sunrise addresses any and all issues in spades! While the original Nica was diminutive, unbelievably, the Sunrise has gotten smaller. Somehow, while the same overall dimensions, it got thinner! And the overall quality of construction... Read more

Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Maverick Nica Sunrise v2 Bluetooth Headset - Gloss Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this item primarily because of its ability to automatically reconnect with my phone when I get into the car. I leave the headset in the car always. I bought the car charger dock. The system works flawlessly, exactly as the manufacturer said it would. The receive side acoustics are excellent with pretty good transmit side acoustics. Again, exactly as the manufacture stated. Nice that they do not over promise and under deliver.

Pros:

You can call the company for help and they will actually answer the phone and you can talk to a person who really seems to know what they are talking about.

Headset is light

Very loud speaker. No trouble hearing.

Very well made product.

Cons:

Buttons for answer and volume are difficult to use. Very small and limited tactile feedback.

Can be tough to put on and take off with glasses as it uses an ear hook.

Transmit side acoustics could be better. No... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great headset, way better than the first one, February 3, 2011
This review is from: Maverick Nica Sunrise v2 Bluetooth Headset - Gloss Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Originally I got the first Maverick headset because I thought it looked better than most of the other headsets out there. The idea behind it was the same as this one, a circular headset without a boom or anything reaching into my ear. Unfortunately, that headset was terrible. It looked fat and cheap and started to appear scratched up and dirty very quickly. And the ear hook broke almost immediately. Sure it was super comfortable, but that doesn't do me any good when I can't wear it because it's broken!

Their customer service was good, replacing my ear hook very quickly. But then the ear hook broke again. And they replaced it again. And it broke again.

Then their customer service replaced my old original Nica headset (at that time I was just about ready to throw it in the trash) with this new one for free! And this one is way better. It's just as comfortable as the old one, but it's smaller and it looks a lot nicer. Also, it has some kind of scratch... Read more
