The YX024-PCS is an optional base unit antenna upgrade for the YX500-PCS which provides additional signal strength in interior spaces and is used to increase the area of improved cell coverage. The directional antenna replaces the omni-directional indoor antenna and connects to the base unit providing 7 dBi of gain. The antenna has a sleek design and small footprint for home and office environments. It features easy set up on walls and other surfaces.

Either way, I get intermittent reception, and the only thing that helps seems to be to reset the extender by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
