The Wilson Universal Adapter cable works as well as a direct plug-in connection to the phone, and has several advantages. First, as its name implies, it works with ANY cellular device, including phones and aircards (I use it with both). It doesn't matter whether your phone has an antenna jack, and you don't have to seek out a special cable for your make and model. In fact, I've used the Universal Adapter with my cell phone and USB-720 cellular modem *simultaneously* by simply placing them both next to its output end. When you're on the phone with tech support but need to maintain your internet connection, that can be very handy, and you couldn't do it with a hardwired cable. I have zero bars.
