The Wilson Electronics C-Booster is the first cell phone signal booster specifically designed for the Blackberry Curve, to increase its signal by up to 20 times in your vehicle. It significantly improves your Curve's voice and data performance and signal strength in weak signal areas. By using the C-Booster you will experience fewer dropped calls, faster data rates, and clearer cell phone reception. In November I switched from T-Mobile to Sprint hoping I could get better reception as I have been located in a suburb of Raleigh, North Carolina for the past 8 months. However, unlikely as it may seem, Sprint has even worse signal reception than T-Mobile in this area. I absolutely could not carry on a full conversation without Sprint dropping the call and more often than not I had no bars whatsoever to even initiate any calls. I was relegated to communicating by text message while in my rig. If I was located in the boonies, I could understand the bad signal. However, I am located less than 3 miles from I-40 just south of Raleigh between two rather large towns less than 15 miles apart. That said, I am not convinced it really works. I keep 5 bars nearly all the time, but still drop calls in the usual spots. This can be worse than without the booster as I just drop a call rather than plan on it as I watch the bars drop. Also, I have found I sometimes get distortion to the person I'm listening to. I get rid of it when I take the phone out of the holder. I was looking for a silver bullet for improved phone coverage and did not find it! |
