1I really wanted it to work

By Marty d'Fried

I'd been planning to get a couple of these, and finally found a good price at Accessory one. Shipping was quick, and it appears to be genuine Motorola brand, with the Moto M stamped into the housing.

However, it has a buzz that ranges from quiet to overpowering, depending on how I move the wire. I was a stereo technician for many years, so I know how to troubleshoot problems, but this had the same buzz with two sets of known-good mono telephone headsets - one with a volume control and one simple mic/earphone from another cellphone. Both have "standard" 2.5 mm headphone plugs that work with various portable landline phones and with my computer, using a GE audio hub adaptor that I got at Amazon for telephone headsets (not a standard computer headset!).

I tried it with both my Razr and my wife's. Both had the same problem.

The seller was nice enough to send me two more, which had the same problem, so I don't know what else it could be. Does anyone else use this with a Razr? Hard to believe it would work well, unless you carefully hold the wire in a position where it stops humming.

Update: After spraying contact cleaner on one headphone jack, and pushing it in and out a bunch of times, it seems to work OK, although not so with a different headset. Maybe it's really sensitive to contact resistance.

5Works with Sprint MOTORAZR V3m & Uniden Headset

By Tim Thein

This adapter works perfectly with my Sprint MOTORAZR V3m and my Uniden Headset that I normally use with my cordless phone. No static whatsoever.

I purchased my adapter from Accessory Export, LLC. and received it a day before the start date of the delivery estimate. Before my purchase, I looked around the web and saw that the part number for this adapteer is SYN1505. I called Motorola about that part and they said it would cost me $15 including free shipping. Obviously the prices here beat Motorola's. By the way, the part number on my adapter is slightly different; it's SYN1505A. I don't know if the difference matters much. I hope this information helps others.

5NOT a standard headphone adapter......

By userid338

Well, I ordered this thinking it was a mini-usb (RAZR, SLVR, ETC..) to standard headphone adapter so My friend could listen to his music, but this is a 2.5, which i did not realize until AFTER I got it... standard is 3.5. It works, was shipped fast, and is in new condition as described by SFplanet, so I give it a good review. It is not their fault I made a stupid mistake. This CAN be used for headphones, but requires another adapter to get It to normal size, or just a specialized set of headphones. what THIS is for is for those little earpieces with microphones on them also. What a waste of 5 bucks. :( So if you are planning on getting one of these for listening to music on your phone, get a 3.5 adapter!!! not 2.5!!! Hope this helps someone...
