I love it. I have tried other external flashes for the iphone but they were hard to hold down the button and take a picture on my iphone. This flash stays on so it is easy to operate the camera and makes it useful for video. the flash is really bright and makes a big difference. it is a little awkward holding the camera when taking a picture in "portrait mode". the only way around that would be to buy a flash built into the case which costs 3x as much.
Overall i'm very happy with this. Can't beat the price.
Also, I like the little thing that holds it in the headphone jack.

terrific little gadget for adding just a bit more light; either for a photo or a scan. you WILL need an adapter extension if you have any sort of box on your iphone, and the light doesn't hit exactly where the camera points, but then you don't get the glare.I bought it to scan barcodes and do OCR in low light, it works swell! the only serious drawback to this handy item is its size - i have misplaced it twice. it needs a case or at least you need a case for all your little iphone gadgets.

Since the I Pod 3 does not come with a flash for the camera this is a perfect product for the phone.
It takes good pictures and is easy to use.
I recommend getting a flash for the I Pod 3 phone.
