The main button turns it on/off and answer/hang up; no auto answer. Extremely light, the battery on standby lasts a long time. So far I have documented 16 hours in standby then I lose track or get multiple calls and eat up the battery. In the basic mode they say 9 days of standby. It gives an audible tone of two beeps that goes down the note scale when it is low on power as a warning. You can check the unit when it is turned on by briefly touching the main power button; if the LED flashes red and/or you get the audible tone you have less than a half hour of standby time. The unit flashes a green LED and a two note rising tone if greater than 30 minutes of standby time. The manual is extremely through and fairly well written. The unit comes with a... It replaced a lost Jawbone and was a giant improvement. The people I call are happy with the sound quality and I can always hear them clearly. Wind noise doesn't impact the mic nearly as much as it did the Jawbone. The Sound ID 400 earpiece happens to fit my ear. It's GREAT not to have that silly hanger that comes with the Jawbone.The charger has a detachable head so you can use a wall outlet or the USB to your computer. What could be be improved? - The ear piece rubber "ring" wears out easily. The lifespan of that piece is days not months. That said, the unit fits fine without it. - The battery life seems brief. The tritone warning signal sounds several times, minutes apart, before running out of power - so one is well prepared. In most cases the call is not dropped.
