U get what u pay forBy Stacy
I guess I should not have expected much for under $2.
I have to fool around with this cord a lot just to get it to charge my phone.
One prong was already missing when I bought it. I am now wondering if
these are defectives that someone is trying to sell. I do not recommend!!

Not OEM but no better or worseBy Bitter Muppet
I really don't think this is OEM and usually that's a big deal to me. The reason it's not in this case is that the OEM cable that came with my iPhone 3GS back in August 2009 lasted about 6 months. Since then, I've gotten cheap replacements that lasted about the same amount of time.
So basically you can buy the cheap ones and expect to get 6 months out of them or go to the Apple store and pay a lot more and expect the same results. Your choice :)

Finally, a company that actually cares about custormer service. The cord does not sync and charge at the same time, but I kept it because I need a sync cord for work. The four stars is really for the great customer service OEM gave because I wasn't happy that it did not sync and charge at the same time. They sent me a Bluetooth headset. They have earned my business.
