If you go to where you're going to mount the antenna and get a good signal than this is the item for you. If you still need to boost the signal more and can't get the antenna to a better location to do that than you need something else. It's working great for me. I mounted the part that goes in the house in a closet. I've gone from no signal and losing calls to averaging 3 bars.
