I used it the same day I recieved it in the mail to drive from Austin TX to Houston TX and it worked fine when I got stuck in traffic on Belt 8 in Houston, TX. I love that it speaks the traffic (audio traffic). Wish I had gotten one sooner.

I use this everyday driving in the metropolitan Washington DC area. In this locale it works fabulusly. I do not even want to drive in this area without this device. Big kudos!

I bought a cheaper / generic car charger for my Tom Tom GPS. I'm not thrilled with the generic because of the way it plugs into the GPS unit. I sit my GPS on my center console (don't stick it to the window). The generic USB plug gets in the way. This official Tom Tom charger has a 90 degree turn to the USB end that plugs into the GPS. Depending upon how you use (mount) your GPS this may make a difference. FYI
