5Great Product!! Just What I have been looking for!!

By GMEHRA

After reviewing many and using almost 10 different stylus pens, this is the ONE! I have been looking for a stylus to use my iPad at work. I carry an iPad and a notebook to every meeting that I attend at work and was looking for a "All In One" stylus / pen / comfort combination. The AYL stylus nails it on all 3 criteria. Unlike other options available today, the AYL stylus is:

1. Constructed well

2. Long enough that it does not feel "weird" or too short and uncomfortable while using it

3. The capacitive cap actually locks to the back of the pen when in use and is ergonomic to write with

4. The roller ball is fine and writes very well

5. The price is amazing

6. It feels expensive but yet is not

I am very satisfied with the product and will be ordering the same if this wears out or is lost. I received it on time as promised by the supplier. Great Product, Lasting Product, Comfortable!!

52-in-1 vs. Stylus Only

By Terrance M. Bond

I purchased th AYL Stylus AYL (TM) Newest Generation Slim Capacitive iPad Stylus with 1 YR Warranty (Metallic Silver), as well as this 2-in-1. After a few days of use, I can say I am pleased with both styli. The main difference between the two was the size of the tip. The stylus only has a longer tip, which allows me to better use the side of the tip, rather than straight on. If you plan to do tons of writing and do not normally hold your pen straight up, you would enjoy the single better (connecting the tether is a bonus for keeping it close as well.

If you plan to use the stylus occassionally, defintely go with the 2-in-1. During basic swiping and drawing, the 2-in-1 works great. I love the length and prefer it to the shorter styli available. And the reviews on the pen are all accurate, it's amazing, especially for the price. It'll be nice to keep a pen in my pocket during the winter that will operate my phone. You really can't go wrong with either and AYL provides very high quality products at a reasonable price. Very satisfied!

4great if you use the right apps

By SLK

ok, I started with the rocketfish stylus with the intentions of drawing and writing on my ipad2. And when I say drawing, I mean proper digital art with loads of detail, layers, etc. It wrote worse than a crayon. So, I went looking for a new one an stumbled on the AYL stylus. It's really a beautiful design with some weight, but that can get a little tiring if you're drawing a lot. It doesn't take as much pressure to use, though.

I started off using it with eNote Taker, pdf-notes, ArtRage, and Inspire Pro. First off, I highly highly recommend eNote Taker if you want to take great hand-written notes, and the AYL stylus does do well for text. I can't compare it against anything but the rocketfish, but it seems good to me. Writing for a long time with it will make your hand tired, but still good. It does take a little getting used to writing with a stylus on the ipad, but you learn. Pdf-notes I only used it to highlight pdfs. Not as good as eNote taker, but also free, so I was trying those out.

Now, for those of you who want to draw with your AYL stylus on your iPad, it is ESSENTIAL that you get the right app. I'm a good artist, traditionally or digitally, so when I used ArtRage or Inspire Pro (got both while on sale), I was thoroughly disappointed. Trying to draw a cube with the AYL stylus, none of the lines even touched. Each of these programs did not respond to this stylus-- worst digital drawing experience, worse than drawing in Paint with a mouse. About to give up on drawing with the AYL stylus for drawing, I bought one more program: SketchBook Pro. BIG DIFFERENCE. Sketchbook Pro responded perfectly to the stylus and was the closest experience to drawing with my wacom tablet. I could go on and on about this program. It really is the photoshop/painter for the iPad, especially with the AYL stylus. If you want an example of the art I've been using the stylus and app for, check out <...> . So, I think for drawing, it doesn't always come down to which stylus you have, but which app, too.

Just a small note, on the black stylus tip, the rubber is wearing off ever so slightly because I used it in the same place for a while.

I definitely want to try their newer, thinner model, but also some other styluses just for fun to see.

Really, the AYL is a great deal (it's always on sale, it seems) and works better than expected if you have the right apps. And for pricier apps like Sketchbook Pro and such, keep your eyes open for sales. They had a ComicCon sale and a back to school sale this summer that made them really affordable. Worth the price if you want an almost-cintiq ipad drawing program.
