I like this product and it works well. I dont use it everyday but when I know I will be on the phone a lot and not able to charge it is a life saver.

Too Big and a couple of failuresBy AustinSolo
I really wanted to like this powerskin for the HTC EVO. For the last 6 months I have been using a SEIDO 3500 extended battery and created my own case from a Trident Cyclops hard case with the back cut out. This solution actually works extremely well, looks good and slim, kickstand works, and offers a great amount of protection and will run for at least 36 hours. However, I was hoping for something even slimmer and was eagerly anticipating the powerskin to be released.
However, I was quite disappointed when I received it. It is MUCH thicker than my home made solution and there really isn't very much protection at all. A well placed drop on a corner will shatter the screen. However, I still gave it a shot and used it for about a week. Here is my experience:
Pros: Appears well made and very smooth so it slides easily in and out of the pocket. Also easy to hold. When it works, the phone will last about 17 hours before needing to recharge. Way less than my SEIDO battery, but gets me through a day barely.
Cons: Very thick but doesn't offer much protection at all on the front area. Much thicker than my own solution with extended battery. Also the kickstand is not usable unless you pop the phone out of the case and open the kickstand inside the powerskin still hooked up (pain). Power charging is a bit quirky like the other reviewer's comments. My biggest CON though is that the charging failed on two separate occasions. I hooked it up at night and verified it was charging, but woke up only to find a completely dead phone that wouldn't take a charge at all. I had to take it out of the case and charge the phone for 15 minutes before I could even turn it on. This failure happened twice with different chargers. I missed many calls in the morning because of this.
For these reasons, I have to return the powerskin and now have a better appreciation for the solution I had all along (Seido extended battery with Trident Cyclops case with back cut out). I really wanted to like the powerskin, but it did not live up to my expectations.
